Attenuator for harmonics in high voltage AC supply

The Challenge / Concern:

Variation in frequencies of power supply causes damage to electrical appliances as well as loss of performance. A compact attenuator was desired to mitigate harmonics in the AC electrical supply.

Brief (and non-confidential) Solution

Active and passive frequency filters were concerned. RL filters and simple inductive dampening was found of interest. Simple designing was done for the supply voltage and frequency. Testing and optimization was done.
